Induction ceremony for approximately 25 new youth & adult members (youth will be inducted first and will then be invited downstairs for special activities and a movie) 2. (Rain date, May 19) May 14, 2008 – Josephine Phillips 1810 Washington County Census Card Project, Marietta Chapter Sons of the American Revolution working with Warren High School Students to digitize over 1100 census index cards into a searchable database. 9AM – 2:30PM in the Computer Lab at Warren H.S. Library. (Rain date May 19) May 26, 2008 – Memorial Day June 13, 2008 – 10:00AM Marietta Chapter OHSSAR annual Flag Award Ceremony at Sharon and Jerry Richards, 8780 SR 550, Vincent, Ohio. Marietta Chapter OHSSAR Color Guard participating. June 14, 2008 – Flag Day July 4, 2008 – 10:30AM, Marietta Independence Day Parade, under direction of AMVETS, with OHSSAR and Marietta Color Guard participating, parade forms on Front Street at Masonic Lodge, right on Putnam Street to 5 th Street, right on 5 th, one block to Mound Cemetery. (Length 5 blocks,) AMVETS to conduct brief ceremony near gateway. July 4, 2008 – 11:00AM, Bicentennial of Ohio Freemasonry, General Rufus Putnam Commemorative Marker Dedication. Mound Cemetery, Marietta, Ohio. The Grand Lodge of Ohio and the American Union Lodge #1 to dedicate marker at grave site of Gen. Rufus Putnam. Compatriot Steve Hill; and his mother Lila Hill, Marietta Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution are descendants of Richard Doan.
